From Greg about this Image:

This is one of my favorite locations. It is on a private ranch that graciously told me about the location, how to get here and that I was allowed to photograph it on a continuing basis, all I do is share the digital images with them.
So the process: it's taken with a Pentax K3II. I took one shot of the foreground, while light painting it just to bring out some more detail, and then I turn on my GPS, switch to bulb mode and turn on astrotracing and track the sky, in this case for 170s. Details of the photo: ISO 1600, sky tracked for 170s x 2 shots (horizontals stacked vertically), foreground untracked for 67s, same ISO and focal length. Panorama of sky put together in Lightroom, edited to taste, then combined the foreground and sky in affinity. It's a complicated process but a fun one. Favourite milkyway shot? Either this one or another from the same area of an old barn, taken last year.
